A campus visit and interview are highly recommended for all applicants although telephone interviews can be arranged for candidates who are unable to visit. International Student Language Orientation Program
MCI has designed a two-week program required for our new international students to attend, beginning August 8th through August 24th, in order to increase their language skills and prepare for college entrance. Students transition successfully to the rigors of the American educational experience and are prepared to thrive while in the MCI environment. Our students will engage in intensive ESL and Humanities coursework taught by qualified full-time MCI instructors. Students will work in the evening with college counselors, SAT/TOEFL tutors, and practice their English skills with American students frequently. Students will receive targeted instruction, so every student can make significant language gains during the program. This experience will ensure students transition to their full course schedule easily and have valuable information needed to apply to American universities. Each student will receive 1/2 credit for completion of the program and an individualized report of his or her language progress. This program will ensure a student is ready to succeed in his or her academic coursework and make strong gains in their language skills.
