2018 Inductee Bios

Andrea Cianchette Maker ’75 was a member of the varsity basketball and field hockey teams for three years and also was a cheerleader. A well-rounded student, Maker participated in several clubs and activities. She was a co-recipient of the Paul W. Legge Physics Award, was runner-up in the Manson Essay, and was the third Honor Essayist at graduation, where she received the coveted Faculty Cup. In college, Maker was an avid rower on the University of New Hampshire Crew Team, where she won a silver medal in the Head of the Charles Regatta in 1976, placed in the Head of the Charles Regatta in 1977 and winning a gold medal in the National Women’s Rowing Association national competition in 1978 as a rower with College Boat Club. Maker also pedaled 3,200 miles from Seattle to Pittsfield with three other women in the summer of 1978. Maker received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics, and her juris doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law. She is a law partner at Pierce Atwood LLP where she leads the Government Relations Practice Group. In between her tenures at Pierce Atwood, Maker served as Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Martin's Point Health Care, spent more than 10 years as Director of Public Affairs for the former Champion International Corp., and has provided government and public relations services to numerous clients in various industries. Maker is married to Scott Maker, is the mother of four children and continues to row with the Yarmouth Rowing Club.

Jethro Ferguson ’92 was a four-year member of MCI’s football and basketball teams and also played baseball and ran track for a year. He was a member of the Spanish Club, Key Club and National Honor Society. He was also a Manson Essay finalist. After graduating from MCI in 1992, Ferguson attended Middlebury College in Vermont where he studied pre-architecture and was a member of the Panther football and basketball teams all four years, earning eight varsity letters. Ferguson moved to New York City after college and began his career in advertising, first as an Account Executive with Ammirati Puris Lintas Digital and then with Ogilvy Interactive where he held various leadership roles in New York and London working with global clients such as American Express, IBM and UPS. Ferguson also earned his MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business in 2003. He is currently with Publicis Groupe, one of the world’s largest advertising holding companies, first as the North American CEO of the holding company’s global production platform, Prodigious, and currently as the Global Chief Production Officer for Publicis Groupe’s largest client, Proctor & Gamble. Ferguson currently lives in Westfield, New Jersey with his wife Molly, and their four children.

Emily Walker Anderson ’94 was a four-year member of the soccer, basketball, and softball teams at MCI. She received the Coach’s Award in basketball. As a senior forward, Anderson averaged 20 points, nine rebounds, and four steals for the Huskies and was a Class B Eastern Maine all-tourney choice (only five were selected). She was chosen Class B (south) Player of the Year and all-conference. Upon graduation from MCI, Anderson attended New Hampshire College for a year before transferring at Husson University where she enjoyed a Hall of Fame basketball career. She spent three seasons with Husson and was named to the State of Maine First Team in 1998. She was also in NAIA Third Team All-American. Emily played only 82 games at Husson and still managed to score over 1,000 points. Anderson averaged 14.73 points per game for her career, which is fourth all-time. Anderson’s point total places her eighth in all-time scoring with 1,208 points. Anderson ended her Husson career with a shooting percentage of 54.4, the highest in school history. During her senior year she hit 211 field goals, which is the second highest all-time single-season total, and she had the best single season field goal percentage at 58.6. Anderson, who works as a nurse, lives in the Bangor area with her husband, Justin, and their two daughters.

 Andrew St. Clair ’02 received MCI’s coveted Masters Cup at graduation and was a member of the National Honor Society. He was a four-year member of the baseball and basketball teams, while also playing on the soccer team for three years. He also participated in Drama all four years at MCI. After MCI, St. Clair was a Hall of Fame basketball player at Colby-Sawyer. At the time of his induction, St. Clair held school records in rebounds, steals, blocks and field goals. He was one of three players to eclipse 2,000 career points (2,043) and was nationally-ranked in scoring and rebounding throughout his career. St. Clair was named Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year three times, and Rookie of the Year in the 2002-03 season. He was a National Association of Basketball Coaches All-American Second Team selection. He also earned CoSida Academic All-American honors in 2005 and 2006. He was named CoSida Academic All-District three times, D3hoops.com All-New England three times, and NABC All-Northeast District three times. Andrew was the Colby-Sawyer Male Athlete of the Year and Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2006. Following his collegiate career, he became the third Colby-Sawyer athlete to compete professionally overseas. St. Clair and his wife, Erica, live in Malden, Massachusetts with their son. St. Clair works in software sales at Smartsheet in Boston and is an assistant men's basketball coach at Colby-Sawyer.
