Financial Aid

MCI provides financial aid to as many qualified candidates as possible. Families wishing to apply for financial aid must complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS). The Financial Aid Committee also considers additional information the candidate wishes to submit. All financial aid information is kept in strict confidence.

Because MCI is a secondary school, we do not qualify for federal programs such as the Stafford and Plus loans. To help parents finance education costs, our school works with the Please loans and the Knight Tuition-Payment Plan. These programs offer loans with flexible terms and competitive rates.

The PFS must be completed through School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). We prefer using the PFS form, but will accept the FAF form to accommodate families who may already be using this form for colleges. These applications should be sent to the indicated addresses, not to MCI.

After MCI receives the information from SSS or FAF indicating the expected family contribution, the Financial Aid Committee will make its decision. In some instances, additional financial information may be requested from the candidate. SSS and FAF do not make decisions about the amount of the award; they only suggest what the family should be able to contribute.

The Financial Aid Committee will notify the accepted candidate within two weeks after receiving required information. The candidate must make a decision on acceptance of the financial aid award within two weeks after notification.

Please use MCI's appropriate school code number for the indicated form: SSS is 4785 and the FAF is 3637.
