Greetings MCI Alumni, Family, and Friends,

From all of us here at MCI, I wish you and your families a relaxing Thanksgiving Holiday with family, friends, and a spirit of thanks for the many positive blessings we have in our lives.  Let me begin by thanking all of you who have supported MCI throughout the years through your financial support, your volunteerism, and your sharing of talents with our students, faculty, and staff.  This support is necessary for us to continue to innovate and to offer the best academic, athletic, visual and performing arts, and club programming.

In the spirit of community and despite the challenges of the pandemic, our students, teachers, and staff participated in two successful service days in the last two weeks of October.  WABI 5 picked up the story, and it was the first time since the beginning of the school year that we really felt like a community (due to the many practices we need to employ to keep everyone safe and separated).  As our seasons change, we continue the "wait and see" paradigm regarding winter sports.  But we also innovate, and the first season of esports is ready to go.  WFVX 7 wrote an informative story highlighting this maiden voyage, and the coverage of MCI's first ever esports continues.  It captures the spirit of creative and new programming happening here at MCI.

Please join us in welcoming Andrew Moody, who will be our class agent for 2006, Sydney Morton for 2018, and Kendrah Willey for 2019.  We still need more of you to "step up" as some classes are missing representatives.  You should have already heard about our "Corn Hole" tournament involving MCI Employees and Alumni, as well as our Zoom Trivia Night, which will be occurring on Saturday, November 28, at 7:00 PM (EST). Register with Bill Cunningham '70 by email:
docbillc@gmail.com. With over 150 years of graduates, we need you!  Please feel free to reach out to the Alumni Association officers, to me, to Tom, to Sharon, to whoever you feel connected at the school.  You can follow the happenings of the Association on their MCI Alumni Association Facebook, theMCI Facebook, @MCI Twitter, @MCI.School Instagram, or our frequently updated Website. I also would like to welcome Robin Dewkett, class of 1984, who is serving as Secretary for the Alumni Association.

Finally, exciting buildings and grounds news.  We used Founder's Campaign funds to install a new boiler, which is humming along.  As the state is supposed to be repaving Main Street and redoing the sidewalks this summer, we are exploring ways to make our front campus safer and more aesthetically landscaped.  And February 1, 2021, will be our Annual Fund Day of Giving (chosen on the founding of MCI,  February 1, 1866).  Of course, your financial support is most welcome anytime.  Enjoy your holiday, and thank you for supporting your alma mater.  I leave you with a celebration of Halloween at MCI and a recording of MCI's first Virtual Open House ever, which took place on October 29th, 2020, with the panel of mixed MCI students and educators. The event was joined by thirty agents from around the world.  Enjoy!

All the Best,
