A Pre-Professional Ballet School

Bossov Ballet Theatre at MCI is both a performing company and an international pre-professional ballet school. Performing on stage with large casts of older and younger dancers is an invaluable opportunity for aspiring dancers.

Track and Field

Outdoor Track & Field was one of the original sports offered at MCI beginning in 1893 and has been a very successful program for much of its history with over 50 individual state champions (18 since 2008) amongst the MCI alumni. More recently the Huskies have 2 conference team championships (girls), numerous all-conference athletes and the 2019 MPA Sportsmanship Awards for both the boys and girls teams. Led by coach Jessica Libby, the Huskies compete in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference (KVAC) at the Class C level. The season runs from late-March through mid-June with meets against other Maine high schools and the annual Husky Throwdown, throws only meet, as the lone home event on the MCI campus.
