eSports
MCI eSports began in 2019-2020 playing on the PlayVS platform. During the short history of the program, the PACK has won 2 state championships and been state runners-up on 4 other occasions. Led by Sean “Stax” Stackhouse, Maine’s NFHS Coach of the Year for 2023-2024, the Huskies compete in titles including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Rocket League with a few MCI Alum currently competing collegiately. The eSports fall season runs from early September through early December and the spring season runs from mid-January to late April. Matches and practices are played in the eSports Lab of Weymouth Hall on the MCI campus with the state finals held in person at colleges around Maine.
