Our Championship-Winning Athletics

Our 20 athletic teams provide opportunities for students to participate in several sports teams which have won state and conference championships as well as recognition for sportsmanship, team spirit, and personal excellence.
Arts and BBT
A Pre-Professional Ballet School

Bossov Ballet Theatre at MCI is both a performing company and an international pre-professional ballet school. Performing on stage with large casts of older and younger dancers is an invaluable opportunity for aspiring dancers.

Cheering

Cheering was revived in 2023-2024 and primarily cheers on Friday nights at home football games. Led by coaches Kristen Clanton and Rachael Merrithew ‘09, the Fall season runs from mid-August to mid-November including the Maine Gameday Competition. Winter Cheering runs from mid-November through mid-February with the sideline team cheering at home basketball games as well as a competition team that competes in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference (KVAC) and Maine Principals’ Association (MPA) Class C level.
