Year Round Program

Bossov Ballet Theatre at Maine Central Institute's year-round pre-professional ballet program is rooted in the Vaganova method
and completely integrated into a U.S. college preparatory high school environment.

Students who successfully pass an audition train daily under the artistic direction of Natalya Getman, former dancer with the Moscow Ballet, while completing their high school diploma at Maine Central Institute. Ballet training is woven into the academic schedule, allowing dancers to grow artistically at a serious level without stepping away from their academic education.

This balance — rigorous Russian classical training within a structured and supportive boarding school community, remains rare in the United States.

Graduates of BBT move forward prepared for professional dance careers, advanced conservatory training, or competitive university pathways, carrying with them not only technical strength and stage experience, but also discipline, resilience, and a deep respect for their craft.
