Summer Intensive

students performing swan lake

Bossov Ballet Theatre's six-week summer program is designed to replicate a professional company performance experience by participating in a full-scale production that takes students from the classroom to the stage. In addition to an intense focus on technical development provided by a carefully selected group of  Vaganova teaching professionals, the artistry and performance skills acquired from participating in a full length, professional-level production creates students ready for company success.

In addition, the program provides comprehensive Russian training with a strong emphasis on technique, pointe, partnering, variation and character.

Please see below to learn more about the Summer Performance Intensive Program.  For more information, please call (207) 487-3355 ext. 217   (email: bossovballet@mci-school.org).

Dates

June 21 to July 31, 2021

Performances

The six-week intensive culminates with a full-scale performance at a professional theatre. Three public performances are held at the end of the Intensive. Productions staged over the past four years include Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Giselle, and Swan Lake. In 2021 we will present a full scale production of Don Quixote.

In past summers, students participated in fencing, astronomy parties, carriage rides through Acadia National Park, canoeing, outdoor adventure, nature exploration, swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, plein air fine art lessons, and worked on team-building skills on a low ropes course in Freeport.
