Bossov Ballet Theatre at MCI is both a performing company and an international pre-professional ballet school. Performing on stage with large casts of older and younger dancers is an invaluable opportunity for aspiring dancers.

MCI STEAM Camp

Our summer STEAM Camp is a unique and experiential learning opportunity in Pittsfield, Maine that focuses on the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics along with exciting trips and opportunities as part of the traditional New England boarding school experience. This camp offers the authentic Maine Central Institute experience in just a few short weeks, and we hope that you will join in the festivity that is our summer STEAM program.

4 Weeks of Academic Offerings

The curriculum of our summer STEAM Camp is tailored towards giving our students a well-rounded and experiential education during their few short weeks here. Staples of our curriculum include offerings focused on chemistry, robotics, 3D printing, music, sculpting and drawing, health sciences, Maine studies, game theory, drama, English, and more. Special rotating offerings depending on the year include topics like aviation, architecture and design, fashion, and other exciting creative ventures and challenges.

The Authentic MCI Experience

Aside from the weekly academic offerings and weekend trips, there are numerous on-campus activities every evening that help develop the bonds between our STEAM Camp community. Whether it's team competitions, lobster dinners, athletic tournaments, scavenger hunts, a summer dance, or a talent show to culminate the camp, our students get the full Husky treatment and truly feel like they are one of us—engaged, supported, and connected through unforgettable shared summer experiences.

A Weekend Wonderland

After a week of exciting opportunities in the world of science, technology, and art, the weekends of our STEAM Camp are meant to explore the wonders of Maine and provide memories that will last a lifetime. Weekend activities include trips to Maine's coast for shopping and exploring, tours of Harvard and MIT in Boston, a steamship cruise on Moosehead Lake, and other opportunities to visit local colleges or soak in the beautiful New England scenery.
