Student Council

The MCI Student Council provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, to enjoy a wide array of activities, and to make MCI an even better school.  The Student Council serves as the students’ voice, acting as liaison between the student body and the administration. It also sponsors $400 in scholarships for seniors, and holds many traditional activities for students.  Its "Campus Coffees", that celebrate the achievements of students, staff, and the Institute itself, have become part of the campus culture.  In addition to service to the school, the Council is also involved in serving our greater community and national causes.  Student Council members are elected by classmates to serve.

Dorm Council

"Dorms are in themselves a diverse community, where many lasting friendships are begun."

Residential Life is committed to the educational mission of MCI. An integral part of each resident's total education is the learning that takes place outside of the classroom. That learning involves the acquisition of personal and social skills necessary to the achievement of academic goals and, upon leaving MCI, to the pursuit of a rich and thoughtful life.

Comprised of representatives from each of the three residence halls, the Dorm Council is dedicated to making MCI's residential life the best that it can be! The Dorm Council works closely with residential hall staff members to develop acceptable dorm policies and exciting weekend activities. Open communications and a sense of trust between students and staff is essential to a successful residential life program.
