Register now to attend our Awards & Dinner Ceremony scheduled for June 19, 2020, to at the MCI Savage Family Dining Room in Pittsfield. Net proceeds raised benefit professional development for teachers at MCI and MSAD #53, providing opportunities for teachers to increase their knowledge and improve their classroom skill set.

In an ongoing effort for MCI and Maine School Administrative District #53 to collaborate, we have established the annual Champions for Education, which honors individuals in education who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to student success and exemplify leadership at Maine Central Institute, Warsaw Middle School, Vickery School, Manson Park School, Alternative Education, and the Superintendent's Office.

Champions for Education is the centerpiece of a comprehensive fundraising effort to raise $20,000 for faculty professional development  at MCI and MSAD #53.

Champions for Education honors individuals in education and supports professional development for teachers at MCI and MSAD #53.

Teacher professional development:

  • Helps teachers connect with professionals in their discipline;
  • Keeps them informed on the newest developments in their fields; and
  • Leads to better classroom management, enhanced teacher strategies, and new ways to engage students in learning.

Honorees are selected for their extraordinary commitment to student success and for exemplifying leadership in the MCI and MSAD #53 community.
